Meridian acquired and repositioned this 42 acre former Laz-Z-Boy manufacturing facility into a master planned mixed use community. The new development has focused on transforming this abandoned manufacturing site into a revitalized property that would benefit the community. Working closely with East Buffalo Township and the surrounding communities, Penn House commons now includes a Giant Food store, CVS, in-line stores and the relocation and building of a new 8,000 square foot iconic restaurant that has served the community and Bucknell University for decades. Penn House Commons has also served the community by building sidewalks and walkable trails that tie into the East Buffalo Rail to Trail that supports the benefits of creating walkable communities. A 90,000 square foot warehouse is being transformed into a recreation and wellness facility to further support a culture of wellness that has been created throughout the property. Together with a 15 acre park that transformed the wetlands into a walkable environment, this property has become a destination for shoppers as well as those visiting the park, the trails and the wellness center.
